With fuel prices constantly rising uncontrollably there is the demand for alternative fuels to fuel our vehicles; we do after all need our vehicles for every aspect of our existence. To date, unfortunately, most of the offerings from the vehicle and engineering industries to combat this have come to nothing; the very few that show any sign of working are economically beyond the reach the everyday consumer. With this in mind, let us take a look at the basic principles behind using fuel and water gas technologies to meet these ends, to produce affordable, lesser polluting fossil-fuel free cars.
Water is essential for life on our planet, with around 70% of our planet being covered by water. The basic fundamental issue behind fueling our vehicles using water is the high calorific value of the water used for this purpose. With this method, water is stored in place of fuel and a basic mechanism is used to attach the vehicle battery to the fuel. Whereas batteries in cars are used to generate a spark required to ignite solid fuels, in this case running vehicles on water employs a slightly different process.
The battery, which when used in the decomposition of water, produces electricity. Upon decomposition taking place to a certain level, water first is converted into a gaseous blend of molecules known as HHO. Extra care must be taken at this critical stage to avoid complete corrosion as this will lead to water separation in its essential atoms. After this occurs the water is then divided into a gaseous blend called Brown's gas which is then combusted. The brown's gas has an extremely high calorific value which, when combusted, produces an immense amount of energy. This energy is then used to run water-fueled cars. It is worthy of note that the mechanism required to achieve this state in the water is extremely simple and only requires several hours of hard work in order to run a vehicle. Once the appropriate electric contact is been made, the rest follows easily and this becomes a great option to gas cars.
The other method mentioned above which can also be used is the fuel gas system. With this system hydrogen gas is used within a common internal ignition engine of a vehicle that is full with either gasoline or diesel which is occupied by hydrogen gas. Originally, there were doubts about the viability of this design as it gave hydrogen a potentially volatile nature however, modern engineering skills as they are have made it possible for vehicles to work using hydrogen without any safety issues. The formation of hydrogen is still a major concern though and the conventional methods produce more pollution than the modern cars. The most advantageous way to run a car on hydrogen is to use electricity from the battery to decay water. With outrageous fuel prices and serious ecological issues to contend with, making use of alternative fuels to drive our vehicles is the best way for us to advance.
